Pet Care Service Agreement

This is a service agreement between Blonde Dog Pet Services, LLC (dba Blonde Dog Pet Sitting) and you the client (Client) for pet care services.

Terms of Service:
1. Client authorizes BDPS to perform pet care services as outlined in the Terms and Service and Client Profiles created in the scheduling software used to schedule pet sitting services.
2. BDPS aggress to provide pet sitting services at Client's address. Rates are subject to change. Client will be notified of such changes prior to any future reservations.
3. Reservations: All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. Booking in advance is recommended especially during major holidays, summer vacations and for first-time clients. Emergency and/or last minute requests will be accepted at BDPS's discretion and as the schedule allows.
4. BDPS will do our best to accommodate requested visit times as closely as possible. However, due to the unpredictable nature of pets, weather and traffic visit times may be changed at our discretion. Priority will be given to dogs without outside access and any pets requiring time-sensitive medication, such as insulin injections.
5. Payments: Client agrees to make payment in full prior to or at the time of the first visit unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon by both Client and BDPS. Accepted methods of payment are cash, check, PayPal or bank transfer through your invoice (Intuit). Make checks payable to Blonde Dog Pet Sitting. Any additional charges incurred after the start of scheduled services will be due within 7 days of completion of services.
6. Returned Checks: A handling fee of $25 will be charged on all returned checks. In the event it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings, Client will be responsible for all attorney's fees and costs of collection.
7. BDPS agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and responsible manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against BDPS except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of BDPS.
8. Client agrees to provide BDPS with contact information on how he/she can be reached while away. Client will also provide a name and phone number of someone who is authorized to handle any problems that may arise. If Client or designated emergency contact person cannot be reached in a timely manner, Client agrees to accept any decision BDPS makes in regards to pet care or Client's property.
9. In the event of personal emergency or illness of pet sitter, Client authorizes BDPS to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill agreed upon responsibilities as set forth in this contract or to contact the Client's designated emergency contact to take over the care of Client's pet(s). Therefore all designated emergency contacts should have access to Client's house and knowledge of Client's pets. Client will be notified as soon as possible if such a situation arises.
10. If anyone will be entering Client's home while it is under our care, Client agrees to notify BDPS in advance. Unless we receive instructions from Client, we will not grant access to the home of any visitors. BDPS will not be held responsible for any theft/loss, damages to property, or injury/loss/death of pets by visitors (family, friends, neighbors) Client allows access during the contracted time. It is understood that anyone with access to the home will be notified of BDPS's presence and vise versa. The police will be called, without exception, on all intruders or suspicious acts. “Job sharing” is discouraged but may be agreed upon at BDPS's discretion. Each caregiver's duties must be clearly defined and agreed to by all parties involved. Names and contact information of all caregiver's should be made available to all parties involved.
11. In the event of inclement weather, natural disaster or act of war BDPS is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for client's pet(s) and home. BDPS will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions. Client recognizes that in such events, BDPS reserves the right to alter services outlined in this contract.
12. Keys/Access to house: We ask that you provide us with 2 copies of keys. If access to the house is by means other than a keyed lock (garage door opener, key lock pad, etc) a backup key is requested due to possible malfunction, dead battery or loss of electricity.
13. Client can agree to allow BDPS to keep house keys/garage openers on file in a secure location for future pet visits. If the client wants their key/garage opener returned after the completion of contracted services an extra fee may be assessed to pickup/return keys. Return of keys for new clients after first-time service is complimentary.
14. Alarms: If an alarm is used to secure the Client's home, the Client will provide BDPS with the alarm code and password.
15. Locksmith: Client gives BDPS the authority to use the services of a locksmith in the event of malfunction of the lock, key, key lock pad or automatic door opener. It shall be the responsibility of the Client to reimburse BDPS for all costs incurred within 7 days of return and to hold BDPS harmless for consequences related to the activities of the locksmith.
16. Security Cameras: The use of security or surveillance cameras is acceptable to BDPS however we do request being notified of the use of or the installation of such cameras. We ask that you abide by any and all laws regarding the use of such cameras (video and audio) and that you do not share any video of the staff of BDPS without our knowledge and consent for any reason.
17. Client agrees to contact BDPS upon returning home to let us know your pets are safe and back in your care. If Client expects to arrive home earlier or later than planned, BDPS must be notified as soon as possible. Any additional visits made due to changes in planned visits shall be paid for at the agreed upon contract rate and are due within 7 days of completion of service.
18. Cancellations: Cancellation of any assignment should be made as soon as possible. During holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day and New Years Eve/Day) any cancellation must be made at least 7 days in advance of scheduled start date. If service is cancelled less than 7 days of the scheduled start date, a cancellation fee of 30% of the total reserved period will be charged.
19. If Client returns home early during a holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day and New Years Eve/Day) no refunds will be given but a credit to your account will be made upon your request.
20. Pet Emergencies: Client authorizes BDPS to obtain emergency care for your pet(s) should it become necessary. Client accepts responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care as well as any additional expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, medication and/or supplies. BDPS shall use the veterinarian indicated by the Client for this service. Should the Client's veterinarian be unavailable, BDPS is authorized to seek an alternate vet. Every effort will be made to contact Client prior to obtaining emergency care.
21. Client will provide proof that pet(s) is/are current on all legally required vaccinations. It is recommended that your pet(s) be current on flea and tick prevention.
22. Medications: Extra fees may be assessed in cases of complicated and time-consuming medication administration or when pets either hide or become combative when attempting to medicate. This is a safety concern for us as well as your pet.
23. Client agrees to provide BDPS with any changes regarding your pet's health or other pertinent information such as but not limited to change in diet, medication, and/or change in primary veterinarian.
24. Pet Photos: Photos may be taken of your pet(s) during a sit. Photos are the property of BDPS and may be shared on our social media accounts and/or website unless you notify us of any objections. We will make all attempts to never post personally identifying information, client names or home addresses, etc. other than the name of your pet.
25. The utmost care will be given in watching both your pet(s) and your home. However, due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, BDPS cannot accept responsibility for any mishaps of any extraordinary or unusual nature (biting, furniture damage, accidental death, etc.) or any complications in administering medications to the pet(s). BDPS will not be liable for injury, disappearance, death or fines for any pet(s) with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
26. BDPS reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, Client may terminate this contract at any time.
27. Client authorizes this signed contract to be a valid approval for future services so as to permit BDPS to enter Client's premises without additional signed contracts or written authorization.

The Client states he/she has read this entire Pet Care Service Agreement and understands and agrees to its terms and conditions. Agreement is indicated by your acceptance of these terms and conditions in your client profile that you set up in BDPS' scheduling software.
